Bastian partners with technical founders across all stages of growth building transformative enterprise software, horizontal AI applications, software infrastructure, and vertical solutions for R&D-intensive industries. His investments span Europe, with a strong emphasis on the UK and the Nordics.
Basti invests across Europe, with a particular focus on the UK and the Nordics. Prior to joining Index, Bastian was with Picus Capital. He led their Berlin office and invested in pre-seed and seed stage companies. Bastian tapped into the startup ecosystem being one of the first team members of the Munich-based software venture Alasco. He holds a M.Sc. from ETH Zurich and B.Sc. from KIT.
