THE DETAILS
Kry’s purpose is to ensure that patients receive the right care from the right specialist, faster. Kry’s products and tools reduce the burden on healthcare professionals and improve population health through more efficient and sustainable healthcare services.
With more than 3,000 clinicians employed by Kry and over 6,000 people using its platforms and tools, Kry’s digital healthcare empowers patients to access primary care at scale. Kry continued to grow rapidly with over 100% year-on-year growth in 2020 and 2021, through its partnerships supporting patients and healthcare systems across Europe. Kry operates in Sweden (where it is headquartered), Norway, France, the UK and Germany. In the UK and France, Kry trades as Livi.
In recent months Kry has expanded into further care segments via its mental health offering, and will extend into chronic disease, including diabetes and asthma. It is also deepening its women’s health specialism, with further training for clinicians and a content hub to better connect patients with the right advice and guidance.
The fundraising round was led by Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG, part of the C$242bn Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan) and P Capital Partners, with participation from existing investors, including Index Ventures. The funding will support Kry’s strategy to embed digital into the backbone of healthcare systems in Europe and improve care for millions of patients.
Johannes Schildt, CEO and co-founder of Kry, said: “We’re seeing continued high demand from patients, clinicians and governments and have grown strongly in recent years. I’m delighted that investors share our confidence that Kry’s digital tools can drive efficiency and better patient outcomes across healthcare systems, at scale.
“This is all about creating more resilient and sustainable healthcare services for the longer term. We want more patients across Europe to have faster access to high-quality healthcare - and we want healthcare professionals to spend more time with patients to improve and save lives.”
