Site Reliability Engineer

Position Purpose

A cloud based experience is only as good as the service supporting it. As a Site Reliability Engineer for Fuze, you are responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our production systems.WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE Assist with enterprise deployments of Fuze, building an in-depth understanding of each enterprise customers unique environment and configuration Work with the Operations and Engineering teams to identify and resolve issues with the infrastructure building an in depth understanding of the entire Fuze service offering Build and strengthen the discipline of incident and problem management, lead and author root cause investigations Respond to and resolve alarms regarding production systems and participate in the on-call rotation Provide root cause analysis and plans for long term issue prevention Take lessons learned and document those within the Wiki to help distribute knowledge and best practices Correspond with team leaders and product stakeholders to improve our platformWHAT YOU NEED: BA/BS or equivalent experience Strong project management skills Strong Linux and IP networking knowledge Ability to logically reduce a system to its constituent parts in order to methodically troubleshoot issues 5 years hands on experience in the internet services area Self-starter, able to prioritize conflicting tasks and manage time across multiple areas of focus simultaneously Excellent communication, customer service and presentation abilities Problem resolution and root cause analysis Experience with SaaS model application and Public Cloud services a plusA SAMPLE OF WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DOIn 3 months, you will have Managed the daily operational and tactical components of the platform including escalations to engineering or operations, problem resolution plans, and clear and concise internal communications Established baselines for performance and related platform KPIs and reliability metric goals Understood completely the technical architecture of Fuzebox service as it exists Trained on root cause analysis specific to FuzeIn 6 months, you will have Improved the platform through data driven performance and reliability metrics Provided trend analysis and useful metrics to Operations and Engineering teams to better the platform Assisted in process refinement to improve response time Demonstrated expert level knowledge of the designated platformWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HERE: Nothing’s more exciting than working at a dynamic, high potential startup Super collaborative environment where every opinion matters Our drive to constantly innovate attracts the best and brightest Casual dress code Happy hour on Thursdays Catered lunch every Friday Full benefits and 401K ABOUT THE COMPANYFuze is the fast, flexible way for everyone to connect and collaborate from anywhere in the world.
